Open Lapping
Open Lapping is available to any driver with a valid and current Driver's License. Participating vehicles must meet our
Vehicle Tech Inspection requirements. Convertibles that are not listed on our
Convertible Approved List must have a 4-point roll bar. Drivers participating in Open Lapping are expected to understand track etiquette (including passing) and flag meanings.
If you want to participate in Open Lapping, but feel unsure on what to do, don't worry! Sign up for our PDX Session and we'll teach you everything you need to know!
Attendance to the Drivers Meeting at 2:45PM is required.
PDXPPIR's PDX program is designed for drivers who are new to Open Lapping Days at a race track. Participants of PDX will receive classroom instruction and one-on-one pit lane coaching. Upon completion, drivers will be prepared to participate at any Open Lapping Day at any race track. Drivers will learn the specifics of performance driving including seat position, drive line, apexes, braking zones, passing, track etiquette and flag meanings. Additionally, drivers will build confidence in car handling and better understand the limits of their personal vehicles.
*Convertibles not on our Convertible Approved List must have a 4-point roll bar or safer in order to participate in Open Lapping or PDX.
Spectators are welcomed free of charge. No Passengers allowed on track.*
